Asia-Europe Meeting Arts Promotion Agency Network Conference
A report from the Asia-Europe Meeting Arts Promotion Agency Network Conference, organised by ASEF, the International Federation of Art Councils and Culture Agencies (IFACCA) and the National Arts Council, Singapore.
The event was back to back to the Second World Summit on Arts and Culture (www.artssummit.org) and gathered 40 participants from 16 ASEM countries as well as about 25 local representatives from art agencies based in Singapore.
The theme for this 1st ASEARTS Meeting was on international mobility of artists between Asia and Europe. This is a timely topic, since European Union is stepping up its competency in the field of culture, and focusing on the question of mobility of artists and works of art, and of artistic ideas.
