The Cultural Management Programme at HUMAK University of Applied Sciences in Helsinki, Finland invites academics and practitioners as participants for the 3rd international symposium on topics concerning the field of arts and cultural management.
The 1st international symposium, held in 2007 addressed the issues of "The Cultural Manager as Global Citizen". In 2008 the 2nd international symposium debated the topic of "The Science of Arts and Cultural Management". This year's theme asks academics and practitioners to engage in debate on the past, present and future of our field. What is the relevant history of the field? Who are its seminal thinkers? Where is it today? What are its current trends? Where will it be in the future?

The goal of the symposium is to provide an opportunity for reflection and discussion within the arts and cultural management community on issues concerning the state of the field. The Symposium will be held in the Head Office of HUMAK in Helsinki, Finland.
