Economics and Techniques for the Conservation of the Architectural and Environmental Heritage

The course in Economics and Techniques for the Conservation of the Architectural and Environmental Heritage - SCEC has been established by the University of Nova Gorica in collaboration with Università IUAV di Venezia, Università degli Studi di Udine and Università di Napoli Federico II.
The duration of the Master programme is one year. It features a preliminary common instruction period which further divides in two specialisations: Techniques and Materials in Conservation of the Architectural Heritage (technical issues of conservation), and Managerial Science and Economics of the Cultural Heritage (economic aspects of conservation). Students that successfully accomplish the master course may be admitted to the PhD. In this case the PhD lasts two years, for a total duration of three years.

The accomplishment of the Masters (MsC), which requires attendance at least 70% of courses, and final evaluation, will assign 60 university credits (CFU); the Doctoral Programme will assign 180 credits (CFU).

Admission Only students holding either a four or five-year degree (corresponding to 240/300 credits) are eligible.

The deadline for inscriptions is 15 September 2006 and courses will start in the first week of October, at the Venetian seat of University of Nova Gorica.
