Great Places to Live: The Cultural Fabric of our Cities
CAPACOA's 17th annual conference takes place from November 4-8 in Edmonton, Alberta. Read more about the topic of this conference here...
Thiis is a working conference with a live showcasing component. You will have the chance to see 21 Canadian artists in all performance disciplines perform in fully-produced theatrical showcases ranging in length from 20 minutes to 90 minutes.
The conference theme is the pre-eminent place of the performing arts in any creative, vibrant city. How do the arts contribute to the creative city? What are some recent successes of public/private collaborations? How do we get the arts on the municipal planning agenda? These are some of the questions to be addressed in our keynote speech and opening plenary panel session. A former mayor of Winnipeg and the current mayor of Québec City will be part of our distinguished lineup!
