Independent Junior Research Groups
The Max Planck Society invites applications from outstanding young scientists in all fields of research pursued by the Max Planck Society for group leader positions (W2; approximately equivalent to associate professor without tenure).
Successful candidates will be offered a five-year contract and will be associated with a Max Planck Institute in one of the three Sections of the Max Planck Society:
- Biology and Medicine
- Chemistry, Physics and Technology
- Cultural, Social and Human Sciences
or Legal Studies
The position includes a five-year grant (research positions, budget, investments), and guaranteed access to the institute's infrastructure. Successful applicants will have demonstrated the ability to perform top international research. The Max Planck Society is committed to equal opportunities and to employing more disabled persons.
Applications should include a CV, a list of publications, copies of three publications, a one-page summary of scientific achievements, a two-page research plan, and a list of up to three Max Planck Institutes in order of preference where the applicant wishes to work. The deadline for application
