Review about the ECSITE Annual Conference 2004 (Barcelona)

In contrast to last year's conference at the Deutsches Museum Munich, which celebrated the museum's 100th birthday, the ECSITE Annual Conference 2004 was held in a newly born science museum: CosmoCaixa in Barcelona, only inaugurated in late September 2004...

CosmoCaixa replaces the previous 24-year-old "la Caixa" Foundation Science Museum with an expanded space and offer in a brand new building. Highlights are the "flooded forest", the "geological wall" and "intelligent and civilized matter". After last year's conference in cold and wet Munich in november, Barcelona's 18 degrees were very welcomed. About 750 delegates attended the conference in this very modern museum, coming from all over Europe, but also from the US, Canada, South Africa and Australia...
