Admission requirements
Applicants will be assessed on the basis of three criteria: previous studies, experience of and enthusiasm for the arts, and suitability for the profession of arts management.
Please note that studies in the Arts Management Masters Degree Programme require sufficient command of English. All applicants to the programme must submit a certificate of an international examination in the English language. Also basic education completed in English in an EU/EFTA country, the United States, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand or a Bachelor's or Master's degree completed in English in one of the listed countries is considered a demonstration of sufficient skills in English.
Previous studies:
Applicants are required to have at least a Bachelors degree or equivalent. A previous Masters degree does not prevent the student from being accepted to the programme.
Experience:
Applicants are required to have some practical experience of an arts-related field (e.g. music, dance, theatre, visual arts, design, film). In the application process the experience of and interest in the arts is demonstrated in the motivation essay, CV and references attached to the application, and further discussed in the interview.
Suitability:
Applicants are expected to demonstrate potential for becoming a successful arts management professional. Personal enthusiasm about the arts and motivation to work in a managerial position in the field will be tested during an interview.

Application period to the Arts Management Masters Degree Programme is every other yea in March. The entrance examination will be held in May and studies will start in September for the successful applicants. Please check the next application period from www.siba.fi/am
