Admission requirements
Regarding the fact that not all disciplines are available in each academic year, applicants are provided with all necessary details concerning the entrance procedures in the given year through the daily and expert press, Internet and the so called "Open Day" hold annually on the second Saturday in November.
Application forms are available from the Study Department (from International Department for international students) of the Theatre Faculty and should be sent in by the deadline dates. If applicants are interested in the study of more than one discipline, they are expected to apply for each of them separately. The application must include the following:
-a short CV and a copy of applicant's secondary school leaving school report
-a recent and signed photography must be sent with the application form by applicants for Dramatic and Musical Acting study programmes
b) PhD study programmes
-A copy of university diploma
-Conception of the future thesis, including its theme
BA AND MA STUDY PROGRAMME APPLICANTS SHOULD PAYSS ENTRANCE EXAMINATON AND POSSESS THE FOLLOWING:
-secondary education completed by a school leaving examination (A levels)
-talent (creative abilities, imagination, fantasy.....)
-intellectual potential (ability of independent thinking, good level of general knowledge, deep interest in the chosen discipline)
-good health as well as mental abilities
PHD STUDY PROGRAMME APPLICANTS SHOULD PASS ENTRANCE EXAMINATIN AND POSSESS THE FOLLOWING:
-university diploma of a MA study programme of "Dramatic Acting" or a related discipline
-high ability of theoretical reflection of their own artistic or expert activities
FOREIGN APPLICANTS FOR BA, MA OR PHD STUDY PROGRAMMES SHOULD
-be able to prove they have mastered the Czech language well enough if they want to study the chosen discipline in Czech
-pay a fee of 60.000 Czech Crowns per semester if they are not able to study in Czech
APPLICANTS FOR EXCHANGE STUDY PROGRAMMES BASED ON RECIPROCAL CONTRACTS OR INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMMES (ERASMUS)
If nominated by their home university as Erasmus student or appointed for an exchange study programme based on international contracts, they are to fill in the application form, a Learning Agreement; form and an accommodation application form accompanied by a CV should be sent together to the faculty coordinator before May 15. After they have been agreed by the chosen studio and acknowledged by the coordinator the application form and the learning Agreement form are sent back to the student (see part 2.1 Practical guide for Erasmus students and exchange programme students accepted on the basis of an international contract).
