2nd edition of the Ulm Danube School for Arts Management

How an idea can be transformed into a special cultural project? What are the basics of cultural marketing, funding and European arts management?

Answers are given during the 2nd edition of the Ulm Danube School for Arts Management that will take place from 6th July to 20th July 2014 in Ulm, Germany. It addresses young arts managers from Danube countries and will be led by Prof. Dr. Armin Klein (Ludwigsburg) and Dr. Patrick S. Föhl (Berlin).

The 2nd edition of the Ulm Danube School for Arts Management addresses young arts managers from Danube countries and offers a platform:
to give young professionals the chance to improve / realize a tangible project,
to professionalize their work in general,
to learn more about contemporary arts management approaches,
to establish contacts with each other and with the art scene in Ulm,
to build long-term and sustainable networks and
to initiate long-term joint projects in the Danube region.

In 2014, the Ulm Danube School for Arts Management takes place during the International Danube Festival in Ulm and Neu-Ulm.

Offered:
a two-week course under the guidance of experienced lecturers and tutors on the topics of project management, cultural marketing, basics of funding and European arts management
accommodation in double rooms and meals in Ulm
contact and exchange with various cultural institutions in Ulm and about 20 peers from other Danube countries
a travel allowance of maximum 150 on delivery of the receipts of 2nd class bus or train journey

Required:
provenance of a Danube country
a precise description of the proposed / existing project
a detailed curriculum vitae of the candidate
if possible: a short (maximum five minutes) video about the work of the project manager which may be published on the website of the Danube portal
fluent in English
a participating fee of 100 .

The Goethe Institut supports up to 5 selected projects with a start-up financing of 3.000,- altogether.
