Numberless non-profit arts organizations and cultural institutions, from visual to performing arts and no matter in the east or west, are currently relied upon to deliver an array of essential social services on arts and culture. This is in keeping with a historical conviction that private voluntary action, as opposed to government intervention, should address as many of the nations social needs as possible.

Arts Organizations and Cultural Institutions is to examine all the major elements of the non-profit Arts and Culture Organizations, describing each organizations and institutions and its functions, and then exploring how their benefits are distributed across various social classes.
