Denmark's Creative Potential - Culture and Business Policy Report 2000

The online report is published by the Ministry of Trade and Industry and the Ministry of Culture of Denmark. It focuses on some sectors: why culture is a new economy and fresh opportunity, the possibilities of a correlation creative between culture and business, how cultural industry in Denmark works and which fields are involved, and how culture relates to regional development.

Here is an example to present that culture sector has an extremely growth in industry. In U.S.A, Culture and Entertainment becomes the biggest export right now; the International trade grew from $95 billion in 1980 to $387 billion in 1998. And the good situation is as well as in Denmark. Culture generates a turnover of DKK 75 billion, hires nearly 60,000 employees, embraces 14,000 firms and exports DKK 15 billion. It is the change of global waves.
