Admission requirements
The application for admission is available on the Teachers College, Columbia University web site, http:www.tc.columbia.edu/admissions. The following requirements must also be fulfilled in order to submit your application for the Program in Arts Administration:
* A personal statement of 750-1000 words indicating why you wish to pursue a career in arts administration, what led you to this point and what makes you a good candidate for admission to the Program and to the field.
* A brief description or resume of formal or informal training in the arts and of work and volunteer experience
* Three letters of recommendation, two from people who have some knowledge of your professional capacities, preferably in the arts.
* Scores on the General Test of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) are required by the deadline for which you are applying
* The Test of English as a Foreign Language is also required for students whose native language is not English. Applicants who have received a bachelors degree in an English-speaking country may request an exemption from this requirement.
